Artist Statement
Lisa Jennifer Denholm, the creative force behind LXO Art, explores the profound bonds of sisterhood and feminine energy through her vibrant mixed media, acrylic, watercolor, and oil paintings. Her Spirit Sista Collection is a testament to these connections, aiming to exhibit 100 sister paintings in London to showcase the depth and diversity of shared experiences.
Denholm’s artistic journey is deeply shaped by her travels, having lived in Thailand, Australia, Canada, Dubai, Scotland, New Zealand, and now the UK. These global experiences infuse her work with rich cultural narratives and emotions. Each piece tells a story—like Desa’s Dance of Storms and Love’s Longing, where Desa embodies a tempest within a teacup, symbolizing an untamed, boundless spirit. With every brushstroke, Denholm channels an intimate dialogue between self-discovery and collective experience, inviting viewers to connect with the emotional essence of her work.
Her paintings are more than visual expressions; they are reflections of identity, resilience, and the unbreakable bonds that define sisterhood. Through her art, Denholm seeks to inspire a deeper connection to one’s inner self and the powerful, unseen threads that weave us together.
